Unicorn Cuddle Buddy

Every time I create a new one I never know what it will look like until it's completed, because one-of-a-kind's are my specialty.

Some people feel stuffed animals are for kids, but they aren't. There's nothing wrong with an adult having something special they can set on their pillow, a shelf, on their dresser.  My cuddle buddies are better than stuffed animals, because they are attached to special blankets that remind many of their past, their grandparents or just simply reminds them of home.

Out on the truck with Hubs

From time to time I get to hop on the truck with hubs for a round or two.
We originally left Tuesday, for A three stop in texas; Austin, San Antonio and Houston.
Then we were to reload in Baytown, but the company that ordered the truck decided they couldn't fit their product into the trial because of the quarter inch rub rails on the bottom. Seriously?!  We sat two and a half hours for them to do lunch, them a meeting and THEN they tell us they can't use us. Talk about non/use of the truck! do we basically sat wasting our time for. Itching.  Finally got a load out of a Houston the next morning, which they wanted up Ron seminole, OK by 5pm. Yeah that wasn't going to happen.  The product t (plastic trash cans) were hand loaded and it took them almost 2 hours to load, which means we didn't get out of there until 9am. Okay, so yeah, technically it takes about 7 hours to get from Houston to Deminole, however, that's not taking into account the fact that if we go 70mph (which is what's the truck Ian governed at) hubs risks his fuel bonus for the month, nor does it take into consideration the TRAFFIC in Houston and Dallas! Oh and let's not forget that truckers have a mandatory 30 minute lunch break that must be taken.   And did I mention stopping for a atheism break can take 15-45 minutes depending on the craziness at the truck stop?  So needless to say we only stopped once, and made it up there around 5:30.  Talk about a long exhausting day!  But we did it and the receiver was really nice.

Anyway, we made it to the yard, dropped the trailer, bob-tailed to get another trailer that a driver left and then grabbed out pickup, bought a few groceries, ate a sandwich and went to bed, utterly exhausted.  This morning we got up, took our pickup to the Flying J and grabbed showers and coffee.

Now we're set and ready to head to Denver!

I know, Boeing.. but I'm getting to the good stuff!  I picked up some beautiful pale yellow yarn to work on a baby set for show inventory.  I also picked up some size 10 crochet thread to work on the maxi skirt I've had requests for.  I'm excited to see how it works up. I'll post pictures of my progress, so check back or check my Facebook.com/TraceysTracery

Handmade Lovey Blankets

I made my very first lovey blanket for my granddaughter, before she was born.   One day when she was around 14 months old, her mom (my wonderful DIL) sent me a picture of her carrying it around and said she drags it around with her everywhere.  I can't tell you how this made my heart sing.  I know, it probably sounds silly, but when I create, I put a lot of love and patience in every item, so knowing that my granddaughter was dragging her bunny blanket around everywhere, made me so incredibly happy.

Lovey blankets are cute and fun and I will continue to revamp my designs.  They're washable and durable, so they can live up to being drug around as a little one will.

Baby Photo Props and Cocoons

I have had such a wonderful time creating soft and sweet goodies for my grandchildren and great-niece and our brand new great-nephew! <3

Giving a pair of handmade booties, themed cocoon set, special lovey blanket or even a full baby blanket makes for a gift that can last for generations and become a family heirloom.

Here are some pictures of what I have created over the last several years to give you an idea of what can make a beautiful heirloom gift.  Many are inspired by popular characters and these are my version of them.

If you are a photographer and would like to order a photo prop package I'd be happy to give you a discount.  Contact me to discuss it.

Shawls Sound So Old Fashioned

I know, shawls seem so old fashioned, but they aren't at all.  They are delicate, yes, but they come in handy at the oddest times.  They are truly beautiful and definitely the ultimate gift to give your mother, grandmother, daughter, the list goes on.

And a crocheted afghan seems so 1970's, right?  Well maybe, but I assure you the colors of yarn today are just gorgeous and so soft.  You'll love curling up under one of my crocheted afghans with a cup of tea and a good book.  I have one, that honestly is nothing to look at, but it is so soft and warm.  It's done in the C2C style (corner to corner).  It's basic tan, with a few diagonals of homespun burgundy, because I wanted to crochet and had it all on hand, so I just went to work and had this huge blanket completed in a couple of days.  My dog, Turbo, and I use it daily.  I keep it folded on my ottoman and tuck my feet under it anytime I sit down (of course Turbo curls up completely under it when he's cold.)

The virus design is one of my favorites to make, it's beautiful and delicate as a shawl or blanket.

Going Round in Circles... CIrcle Vests, Hippie Jackets, Bohemian Vests

Circle Jacket's are great for all ages and make wonderful gifts.

The first one, I made this one for my baby granddaughter, Blakely, when she was 6 months old. It was so much fun to make and even more exciting to see her in it.

I love making them and am happy to create one in the colors and size of your choice.  My turn around will depend on the orders ahead of yours, but usually I can have one completed in a few days once I start it. Then add a couple of days for blocking and drying, then it's ready to deliver or ship.

Contact me here to place your order.
I do create longer ones, just haven't posted pictures yet. I'll get some up soon.
