New Snuggle Lovey, Blanket Pattern in Progress and more

I went on the truck with hubs for a few days and started working on an original pattern for a circle throw.  I'm really excited to see how it turns out. I'll be posting about it soon.

Now I have been on a Snuggle Lovey kick and have had a few custom requests, which I love to do! Just before I left with hubs, I completed a Yoshi inspired snuggle lovey and my mom was sweet enough to pop it into the mail for me.  So he's on his way to his new home and I can't wait to see what his new owner thinks of it.  I'm hoping they send me pictures. :)

I can't wait to see what else someone requests.  There are so many things I want to make into snuggle loveys, it's just overwhelming, which is why I love when people make special requests.

Happy Monday.. no really. :)

Monday's aren't always the best day of the week. Some weeks it comes too soon. Other weeks it comes along at a normal pace, but is packed with havoc.

Some weeks my "Monday" is Sunday, depending on when my hubs has to leave with his first load of the week.  This week, my week starts today, which is actually a Monday.

We got up just before 6am, had coffee out under the carport, where it was actually cold enough to need a jacket, not what you'd expect for mid-May in Oklahoma, Well, not what I'd expect anyway.  We laughed over the "news" (what hubs laughingly calls Facebook), got his things together and headed out. If you don't  know anything about trucking; it's not easy. For years my husband has stayed out for weeks and sometimes months on end, now we're blessed that he is able to stay "regional" which means he's rarely further than 700 miles from the house.
He gets home most weekends, although that can mean he gets home Saturday sometime and has to leave out first thing Monday, so not actually a full weekend, but we take what we can get. :)

Anyway, we had a nice weekend.  Hubs and I mowed, I started some vegetable seeds and I finished up a couple of new Snuggle Loveys.  I'm calling them snuggle loveys because people get too confused with Lovey Blanket, expecting it to be a big blanket or something to that affect.  I'm so excited with how my frog (Ferdinand) and my Groot-inspired ones turned out.

I've not used a pattern with any of them, so far.  I like to make things up as I go, but I'm starting to get requests for duplicates, so I'm going to have to write my patterns down.

I've had requests for a penguin and a Yoshi-inspired snuggle lovey, so they're on my list for today. :)

I hope you enjoy my completed ones as much as I enjoyed making them!

I'm currently offering them for $15 and ship worldwide, at customers expense.

If you would like one of your own, send me a PM on my Facebook page: Tracey's Tracery

Wishing you a wonderful Monday!

I Love Lovey's

Yes, I'm still in love with these little darlings.  Something about them just makes me smile and I want to making one in every animal and character I can imagine.  Yes, it would take a while, but hey a girl can dream, right?!  ;)  There are so many possibilities I find myself stuck trying to decide.  Which is why when a client places an order I am over the moon, because I have their request to work on without having to make a decision of what to make next.

My past Lovey Blankets have been on the larger size, which are great for a little one that is walking well, but for the wee ones that aren't walking or so they can be more like a blanket doll, I've made some smaller.  My elephant and giraffe are small (they fit on the seat of my dining room chair when spread out) and seem to be the perfect fit for little hands.

I'm really quite happy with how they came out.

Since they are smaller I am asking only $15 for them and will be happy to ship worldwide.
Custom color, and animal,  requests are welcome.

I'm currently working on a Frog and someone asked about a Penguin and a Groot-inspired, so that will be in the works shortly also! :)

Handmade Lovey Blankets

I made my very first lovey blanket for my granddaughter, before she was born.   One day when she was around 14 months old, her mom (my wonderful DIL) sent me a picture of her carrying it around and said she drags it around with her everywhere.  I can't tell you how this made my heart sing.  I know, it probably sounds silly, but when I create, I put a lot of love and patience in every item, so knowing that my granddaughter was dragging her bunny blanket around everywhere, made me so incredibly happy.

Lovey blankets are cute and fun and I will continue to revamp my designs.  They're washable and durable, so they can live up to being drug around as a little one will.
