Shawls Sound So Old Fashioned

I know, shawls seem so old fashioned, but they aren't at all.  They are delicate, yes, but they come in handy at the oddest times.  They are truly beautiful and definitely the ultimate gift to give your mother, grandmother, daughter, the list goes on.

And a crocheted afghan seems so 1970's, right?  Well maybe, but I assure you the colors of yarn today are just gorgeous and so soft.  You'll love curling up under one of my crocheted afghans with a cup of tea and a good book.  I have one, that honestly is nothing to look at, but it is so soft and warm.  It's done in the C2C style (corner to corner).  It's basic tan, with a few diagonals of homespun burgundy, because I wanted to crochet and had it all on hand, so I just went to work and had this huge blanket completed in a couple of days.  My dog, Turbo, and I use it daily.  I keep it folded on my ottoman and tuck my feet under it anytime I sit down (of course Turbo curls up completely under it when he's cold.)

The virus design is one of my favorites to make, it's beautiful and delicate as a shawl or blanket.
